On behalf of the International Greek University and Mr. Stelios Xanthos, the coordinator of the INTERRREG project with the abbreviation STRASS and entitled “Safe cross-border transport of hazardous materials: orphans radioactive sources”, representatives of the Directorate for Protection and Rescue were invited to a joint working meeting:

…for a meeting in Greece. The STRASS project is a project for cooperation between Greece and Northern Macedonia.

The topic of the meeting was:
Clarify the steps and roadmap to be followed for project implementation. Subjects that will be discussed will be:
- Radiological measurements and simulations at the Border Station
- Identifying and minimizing the risks of traffic accidents on the Thessaloniki-Evzoni highway
- Harmonization of Emergency Response Protocols
- Dissemination of the project
- Problems difficulties during the implementation and ways to overcome them
- Pending activities
